I met Anto while I was studying abroad in Switzerland last year. We were randomly assigned to a group project together by a class I chose on a whim. I know that none of that was random. In fact, all of it was choreographed by the Father. Being from Paraguay, Anto’s faith background, although Christian is much different than mine. Through her, I saw a complete new face of my Father. I am SO honored to finally get to share this post with you all and I know that you will be blessed by it just as I have.Read More
Gal pal, I may or may not know you, but I do know that you will relate to this post. How do I know? I know because we all face struggles. They may look different from one girl to the next, but ultimately, they leave us all feeling the same way— weak, powerless, and like a complete and total failure. That is a feeling I know you’ve experienced at some point, and if not… you just might be a unicorn! But what do we do when we feel like this? Do we put on a brave face and tell the world ‘it’s all under control!’ OR could we say, ‘I actually don’t know how I’m going to get through this’ and show the world that when we get through it, it gets done, etc. that it was GOD who gave us the strength?
I want to live my life in such a way that, because of my vulnerability, people say, “How on earth did SHE do THAT? She had to have had help." At which point I get to say, “You’re right, there’s no way I did this on my own. I’m so far from capable, but let me tell you about my Father who has made me more than capable.”Read More

Next up in our RED LETTERS Series is a passage from the gospel of John 20. We’re talking about the story of Thomas as he finds out about the resurrection of Jesus and refuses to believe unless he puts his fingers into the holes on Jesus’s hands.Read More
“Consider how the wildflowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you – you of little faith!”Read More
Let’s talk about one of the biggest reasons we need to read and know scripture... and it's definitely not that it makes us feel good! We need to read and know the scriptures because the enemy knows them extremely well. Did you read that right? The enemy knows and can quote scripture. That's a HUGE problem for us if we don't make it a priority to also know and memorize them.Read More
Have you been hurt by ‘the church’? Friends, I’m right there with you. It’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever walked through in my faith. BUT instead of pushing it all so far into my past, I want to bring it up again so that I can share with you 5 steps to help you move on, make peace, find a new church to call home, and get involved!Read More
We’ve been missing something in our conversation about women’s identity and I think it’s time we brought it to light: too often we, as women, get put in a box when we talk about places we misplace our identity. We are ask to choose between beauty, men, or our career. But something has always seemed off to me. I didn’t quite feel like I fit perfectly into one of the categories. Finally, the Father opened my eyes to where I was truly putting my identity.Read More

Hi sweet friends! I’m SO excited you clicked on this post! I want to introduce you to a friend of mine named Libby. She’s a Exercise Physiologist from Lynchburg, VA, but is currently living in Indiana with her husband, her cat, and her adorable german shepherd, Indy! I have followed Libby on Instagram for a while and have been so encouraged by her exercise tips and “how-to’s,” but what sets her apart is that she seamlessly lets her faith flow into her work with so much grace! So I asked her to share a little about how she sees fitness and health as part of her faith. A few months ago, God really started speaking to me about healthy living. Not just exercising, but how I eat, what I eat, and how I see myself after eating. They’re all connected!Read More
Over the last few months podcasts have become a HUGE part of my daily walk with Christ. Since I'm studying abroad and haven't really found a church and travel most weekends, I depend on digital sermons and church community. This is a list for anyone interested in starting to listen to podcasts or looking to try something new! Let me know what you think in the comments if you listen to one! :)Read More
Think back to math class in high school, you have a test coming up and have studied hard and know how to do the problems. Of course, you’ll make some mistakes now and then, but still, you know the curriculum. Now, what if you see your friend in the same class preparing for the exam and they’re doing the problems wrong. How evil would it be for you not to tell them? To let them continue to make the same mistakes and walk into the test with all the confidence in the world? How stupid would it be for you to say, “don’t grade me” if your friend shares this with you? They're not “grading you,” they literally couldn't, they don't have that authority. They’re simply warning you of a standard you are about to be graded by.Read More
The "harmless" sin the church never talks about. Somehow I think the modern church has forgotten about gluttony. When we think of the word glutton, we picture a morbidly obese person, unable to walk, reclining at a table with piles of plates in front of them. But that's not the whole story. Gluttony is interlaced into American culture from sorority girls to high school drop outs. We laugh about gluttony with our memes and use it as a coping mechanism when we are upset. Let's start the conversation.Read More
Today is VALENTINES (or GALENTINES!) DAY! A day set aside for LOVE and with it the release of a movie that makes an attempt to kill love. Here are 51 reasons you should NOT be seeing this movie! You cannot be a supporter of #metoo and a promoter of this movie. I've said it before and I'll say it again, this movie is PORN and a pathetic excuse for a "romantic" film. This movie glorifies dating violence, sexual abuse, and teaches women that that is what is "sexy."Read More
Having faith isn't easy because it requires, well, a leap of faith-- it's trusting in something that can't actually be proven and that's really hard especially when those nagging questions come up that no one can seem to answer. Why does God let bad things happen to good people? Check out this blog to read my answer.Read More
